The market was opened on a positive sign and stayed in green zone for a couple of hours. However, sentiments could not remain intact due to profit taking. Following buying interest, Engro Foods, Sui Northern, Sui Southern, Hira Textile Mills, Bank Al-Habib, National Bank, Allied Bank, MCB Bank and Honda Atlas Cars were closed in positive column.
However, Pak Electron, PTCL, Faysal Bank, NetSol Technologies, Engro Corporation, Dawood Hercules Corporation, Fauji Fertiliser, WorldCall Telecom, D.S. Industries and Arif Habib Corporation were closed in negative column. The gainers were more than the losers, as out of a total of 101 active issues, 28 companies posted gains, 26 were closed in minus column, while 47 companies stayed glued to their previous closing.
Engro Foods gained Rs 4.36, Sui Northern was improved by Rs 1.25, Sui Southern was appreciated by Rs 1.08 while Hira Textile Mills was up by Rs 1.00. Pak Electron lost 94-paisa, PTCL was declined by 92-paisa while Faysal Bank and NetSol Technologies were down by 70-paisa and 50-paisa, respectively. Fauji Cement with trading of 591,000 shares topped the volume leaders followed by Silk Bank with 440,500 shares.
